THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER NEW MOVIE [2022]

“Thor: Love and Thunder” is about to reveal how the Norse God has entered the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After two far-from-impressed solo movies – the less said concerning The Dark World, the healthier – Thor thundered his way back into our good books in Taiki Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok.

The God of Thunder’s 3rd film was a fresh breeze for the MCU, unsurprisingly; the New Zealand native was requested to direct Thor’s next standalone adventure. The second of 2022’s Marvel movies will be more ensemble matter than the previous Thor flick, but it will focus on the titular role and reuniting with Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, who is in line to get her divine superpowers in Marvel’s Phase-4 project.

But we digress. “What’s the hottest news on Thor: Love and Thunder?”, we hear you ask. We get a look at the new suits that Thor, Jane Foster, and Valkyrie will wear in Thor 4, and there’s the chance that the movie’s first trailer could be on the way soon. Add in the possibility of another supposed superpower character part, also, and there’s plenty to involve.

Thor: Love and Thunder release date

Currently, Thor: Love and Thunder is to be released on 8 July 2022. It was initially due out on November 5, 2021, however, a lot of theatrical releases, it was pushed back by the ongoing deadly disease (COVID-19). Subsequently, it was penciled in for May 2022 but, after Marvel Studios confirmed that they had delayed all of its upcoming films, its release date was again changed.

It will also completely debut in cinemas before it arrives on Disney Plus. Given that Eternals and Shang-Chi didn’t publish on the streaming platform for 55 days after their original launch, though, it’ll be a while before Thor 4 is viewable in the ease of your own home.

Unsurprisingly, some of New Asgardian friends will be joining Odinson and Chris Hemsworth returns as Thor in the film.

Tessa Thompson reprises her character as Valkyrie, whereas Waititi himself climbs back into his performance capture suit to play wannabe revolutionary Korg. The Guardians of the Galaxy will also show up in Thor: Love and Thunder, which isn’t a complete shock. 

Avengers: Endgame, well, ended with Thor in the company of Marvel’s most beloved bunch of a-holes. So Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Vin Diesel (Groot), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer), and Sean Gunn (Kraglin) are all coming back in action in the sequel of 4^th Thor movie. Strangely enough is that there’s no word on whether Bradley Cooper’s Rocket will appear, though we think he will.

One Thor usual who won’t be back to reason mischief is Loki. The trickster god died in Avengers: Infinity War but, he’s technically back in the MCU, as we saw in Endgame and Loki’s own TV show, or, rather, the Marvel Cinematic Multi-verse. That said; don’t expect him to feature, with actor Tom Hiddleston saying that he won’t turn up in a June 2021 interview.

Perhaps the biggest news about the Thor-4 movie cast, though, is the return of Doctor Jane Foster as Natalie Portman. The actress agreed to reprise her role after a single meeting with Waititi as long as the director, like he did with Thor, reinvented her character.

What about the film’s trailer ?

Not yet, but that could change in a short time, according to the leaker of Marvel movie.

Per Brandon Matthews, Thor: Love and Thunder’s first teaser was roughly complete back in mid-January. Given that some time has passed since then, it’s likely that the film’s trailer could be on the way soon.
