The sequel will provide a glimpse into these Titans’ history and their beginnings, according to the Godzilla vs. Kong 2 press release, which was first reported by ComicBook.com. ‘This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, trying to pit the great and powerful Kong and the intimidating Godzilla against a colossal unrevealed threat shrouded within our world, challenging their very existence — and our own,’ according to Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.

Shortly put, Godzilla vs. Kong 2 will explore the origins of these “amazing beings,” the mysteries of Skull Island, and “uncovering the mythological struggle that helped shape these remarkable beings and bonded them to humans forever.”

According to earlier rumours, Godzilla vs. Kong 2 would hit theatres on March 15, 2024, all across the world. As previously announced, Adam Wingard, who also helmed the first instalment, will helm the Hollywood film. The movie is now being made in Queensland, Australia, along with the Gold Coast and other areas in Southeast Australia.

In the opening episode of Godzilla vs. Kong, the idea of Hollow Earth—a possible origin for all Titans—was examined. It featured two monster monarchs destroying the man-made MechaGodzilla, which was built of iron and cables. In order to combat the rise of a “colossal unforeseen threat buried within our earth,” the Titans are anticipated to band together once more.
